VENDHOM-000 Special Care Provisions & Emergencies
Licensing inspector arrived at 1:00 pm and departed at 3:15pm to conduct a licensing inspection and a Subsidy Health and Safety inspection. At the time of the tour there was nine children in care with 2 staff (26 points)Children were observed napping, freely playing and children arriving from school. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 2 provider record. Areas of non-compliance was reviewed with the provider.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-005-B Description: Based on record review and interview, the vendor did not ensure there was a written record (hard copy) of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on March 23, 2018, there was not documentation of arrival for each child in care on this day. Confirmed with provider. Plan of Correction: Everyday the provider will document arrival depature . It was completed for other days.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-E Description: Base on record review, the provider did not ensure all caregivers with in 30 days of employment is CPR and First aid certified. Evidence: Staff #2 hire date October does not have documentation of completing CPR and First aid with in 30 days of employment. Plan of Correction: With in the next week a CPR and First Aide class will be scheduled.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-029-A Description: Based on and interview and review of procedures, the vendor did not have written emergency preparedness plan that address lockdown and reunification for evacuation, shelter in place and lockdown. Evidence: During the subsidy inspection conducted on March 23, 2018, the vendor did not have the methods to secure the designated area for lockdown The vendor did not have procedures to address reunification and special accommodation procedures for infants and toddlers for evacuation , shelter in place and lockdown. Plan of Correction: The emergency preparedness plan will be completed today
