Thank you for your time and assistance with the announced initial inspection conducted today, May 3, 2018. The on-site inspection was held from 1:40p.m. to 4:15p.m. On this date, there were three children in the care of the provider and a total of three children enrolled in the program. There were three children's records reviewed, along with the records for the provider and one additional caregiver. There was no medication on-site or being administered at the time of the inspection. Children brought their food from home. All interactions between the provider and the children were age appropriate and positive. The home and outside play areas were toured. There was an ample supply of toys, equipment, and teaching materials for the children. There were no violations of the licensing standards cited. Some items reviewed and observed included: freezer and refrigerator temperatures, required posted information, emergency preparedness plan, emergency supplies, first aid kit, water temperature, land line phone, play time, snack time, story time, language art activities, bathroom procedures, and diaper changing procedures. A recommendation will be made to issue a conditional family day home license with a capacity of twelve children and an age range of infants through 12 years. Please contact me if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 280-0742.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
