Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted 05/16/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 8 children, ages 2 years-10 years, totaling 12 points present during today's inspection. There was one caregiver providing direct care and supervision during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 5 children's records and one provider record during today's inspection. There is no medication being administered at this time. The children were observed in the following activities: during nap time, afternoon snack and free choice activities. The emergency preparedness plans and emergency supplies were reviewed. The school-aged children were observed arriving to after school care via public school transportation. Proper hand washing and table sanitization were also observed. The inspector discussed the new VDSS model forms available to providers and annual training with the provider. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. The inspector arrived at 12:45 p.m. and departed at 3:30 p.m. Thank you for your time today. Please contact Becky Forestier at 540-309-2835 for questions concerning this inspection.
