Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on August 24, 2018 from approximately 12:00p.m. to 2:15p.m. Ten children were in care, ages infant to four years of age, with two caregivers, for a total of twenty-nine points. The children were observed interacting with the provider and an assistant during diapering, hand washing, free play, nap time and lunchtime. Infants were also observed during tummy time. Children?s toys, learning materials, equipment, bathroom, indoor areas, outside play area and the home?s first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Five children?s records, five caregiver records, emergency preparedness and response plan, fire drill and shelter in place logs, daily attendance, injury reports, topical skin authorizations and required postings were reviewed. Transportation is not provided. The provider was available for interview, inspection and exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee. There were no citations for violations of the Standards for Family Day Homes.
