Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the provider from 11:45 p.m.-1:15 p.m. Two children, ages 1 year and two years old were cared for by a provider and an assistant for a total of 8 points. Children were observed napping. A complete first aid kit, weather band radio, and flashlight were present. One medication was review. Both the provider and assistant hold current first aid and CPR certification through ASHI. Two household members' records, three children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A
Description: Based on documentation review and interview with provider it was determined that emergency escape drills were not practiced monthly. Evidence: The last emergency escape drill was conducted on 7/24/2018.

Plan of Correction: The provider will conduct drills monthly.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-220-A
Description: Based on interview with provider and review of medication, the provider failed to obtain the required training (Medication Administration Training) to administer medication in the family day home. Evidence: An emergency medication was on site for child A.

Plan of Correction: Provider will schedule to obtain the required training.
