Children were observed sleeping in cribs, participating in book reading, child's choice activities, and preparing to go to and playing on the outdoor playground. There were ample supplies and equipment for children. 3 staff and 1 household member's file were reviewed along with 2 children's files. Areas of non-compliance are cited on the Violation Notice. Should you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact georganne.buccine@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A
Description: Based on record review, a caregiver did not obtain 16 hours of annual training. Evidence: Review of Staff#1's file revealed she had completed 12 of the 16 required hours for 2017.

Plan of Correction: I will make sure to complete 16 hours of training.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-350-E
Description: Based on observation, the hot water at taps were not maintained within a range of 105F to 120F. Evidence: Both sinks used for handwashing were observed to register 123.5F, which is a potential hazard for children. This was being corrected during inspection.

Plan of Correction: I will have my husband turn down the hot water heater temperature today.
