Technical Assistance:
New subsidy requirements became effective on October 17, 2018. The provider states that she has reviewed the new requirements. for vendors.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on November 15, 2018 from 1:50 p.m. until 3:40 p.m. to review family day home licensing standards. There were 5 children present, ages 11 months to 5 years, for a total of 12 points, in care with the provider. The records sample size consisted of 1 newly enrolled children?s record. The additional children's records and the provider's record were recently reviewed at the time of the initial licensing inspection. Children were observed resting quietly on cots and in a crib during nap time and being read to from children's literature. An infant was observed having an afternoon snack. Diapering, restroom procedures and handwashing were also observed. The provider states that no medication is administered to children in care at this time and that children are not routinely transported in a vehicle. Children play outdoors in the back lawn with direct supervision and close proximity of the provider. The provider reports that there have been no accidents or injuries requiring first aid or medical treatment incurred by children in care since the last inspection.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2
Description: Based on observation and interview, the provider did no post the findings of the most recent inspection of the family day home. Evidence: The inspection results from the last licensing inspection were not observed in the family day home. When asked if the inspection results from the last licensing inspection were posted visibly, the provider stated that she forgot that she needed to post the inspection results as a licensed family day home since the results were not required to be posted when she was previously voluntary registered.

Plan of Correction: The current inspection results from this inspection were posted visibly, today.
