- Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included not using backyard areas until repairs are completed, and having parents sign a permission for children to walk (or be pushed in a baby carriage) in the neighborhood until the back yard is ready. We also discussed posting the menu when more children are enrolled; and toys of different sizes for different age children. To enroll in the free 10 hours preservice child development training, go to the website at dss.virginia.gov; and look under child care and then training opportunities.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted this afternoon from 1:30 - 3:30 pm. There was one child in care for points. I observed lots of interactive play and language stimulation. If you have any questions, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
