54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:30am-11:50am. There were 11 children (20 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 5 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today, however the provider is currently certified to administer medication. Children were observed playing freely and singing counting by rote songs at the table prior to lunch. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A-1 Description: Based on observation, the first aid kit was incomplete. Evidence: The first aid kid contains one of two required triangular bandages. Plan of Correction: I will purchase an additional triangular bandange.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A Description: Based on record review and provider statement, the substitute provider di not obtain all required training hours. Evidence: Adult 2's record document a total of ten hours of completed training, six hours short of the annual requirement, Plan of Correction: The provider is currently looking for classes and courses to satisfy the missing hours.
