Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:30am-10:40am. There were 9 children (25 points) directly supervised by 3 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 5 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely, being held while bottle fed, coloring with markers and singing with caregivers. Some infants were observed sleeping in cribs under direct observation. Positive interactions were observed throughout the inspection. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B
Description: Based on record review, 1 of 5 children's records reviewed was not complete. Evidence: Child 5's record did not contain the health insurance policy number.

Plan of Correction: I have texted the mother to inform her of the missing information and ask that she provide it today.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-G
Description: Based on record review, wood burning fireplaces and associated chimneys were not inspected annually. Evidence: The most recent chimney inspection was conducted on 7/5/2017.

Plan of Correction: I will schedule a new inspection.
