54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the caregivers on February 6, 2019 to determine compliance with the licensing standards. There were 11 children present, ranging in age from 10 months to five years old, totaling 29 points. The children were playing with age appropriate blocks and toys. The children had lunch and prepared for rest. Lunch served today: salisbury steak, green beans, pineapple, bread, and milk. Three children's files and two caregiver files were reviewed - please see Supplemental Summary. Provider does not administer medication - Medication Administration Training is required to administer medicine. First aid and CPR certification is due to be renewed 3/9/2019.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on review of three children's records, the provider failed to have documentation of a second emergency contact for two children. Evidence: Child A and Child C did not have documentation of a second emergency contact name, address, and phone number. Plan of Correction: Provider will request the information from the parent today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A Description: Based on review of two caregiver records, the provider failed to have documentation of the required sixteen hours of annual training. Evidence: Caregiver 1 and Caregiver 2 had documentation of ten hours of annual training. Plan of Correction: Caregivers will take an additional six hours of training.
