- Technical Assistance:
Please make sure to vary the times of day you do monthly escape drills. Any caregiver ( assistant, substitute provider etc) must first have satisfactory fingerprint background check and a completed sworn disclosure statement on file prior to employment. Tuberculosis tests/screenings are good for two years.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today with the provider, who was present with an assistant and 9 napping children ( 14 months through 4 years of age) for a total of 21 points. For lunch, the provider reported that she fed them scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, green beans, wheat bread banana and milk. The were no medications on site. The provider reported that there have been no injuries/accidents. Please send me a copy of the completed fingerprint background check upon completion. If you have any questions please email or call me: Cathy.Aylor@dss.virginia.gov, (540) 222-6352. Arrival time: 12: 20 pm Departure time: 1: 40 pm

Plan of Correction: I will not allow anyone to work in my day care who has not first had a fingerprint background check stating that they are eligible to work in the day care.
A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.
The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
