Technical Assistance:
Consultation was given on infants in bouncy seats and using them while feeding infants and/or rocking children in a gentle and soothing manner.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted. All rooms were in ratio with direct care staff. Observed toddlers transitioning to lunch, circle time, reading with children and independently, lunch and infant care. Rooms are well organized and maintained. Emergency medications are on-site with six staff having current Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification. The playground was not observed today due to wet and windy weather. Lunch served today was noddles with cheese, melon, mixed veggies, bread and milk. Emergency preparation is current for drills and supplies. All bottles and over the counter diaper creams and lotions were labeled in the two infant suites. Please call if you need any additional assistance. Ann Dramstad Licensing Inspector 703-314-0860

Description: Based on observation, cleaning supplies were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method. Evidence: Cleaners were in an unlocked cabinet above the sink in the Two's classroom.

Plan of Correction: Staff retrained on importance of locking cabinets and providing for the safety of the children.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B
Description: Based on observation, the diaper pad in the multi-use room was no longer non-absorbent. Evidence: The diaper pad has a small tear where the padding is exposed.

Plan of Correction: Changing pad ordered from Amazon. Delivery 4/7/15.
