Technical Assistance:
Discussed taking the Auvi Q training online, print certificate and file with the MAT certificate.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 8:00 am-9:00. At the time of entrance, 21 children were in care with 3 staff members present. Children were observed engaged in group activities, cards, reading and a community service project. A selection of children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C
Description: Based on a review of medication, staff failed to follow proper procedures for preventing the use of outdated medication . Evidence: Two medications were found expired; Child #1 epi pen expired 1/2015 and child#2 epi pen expired 2/2015.

Plan of Correction: Staff will return the expired epi pens to the parents and request updated epi pens.
