FYI - Per measurements of the current playground space (1846.39 sq. ft.) only 24 children are permitted on the playground at any given time. Center administration and Licensing Inspector reviewed plans for playground revisions. The new playground will accommodate infant and toddler age groups that currently do not have a designated outdoor play space available to them. Sight and sound supervision on playground and routes to alternate locations were reviewed for potential safety risks.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. There were 176 children directly supervised by 39 staff. The children were observed playing outdoors, engaged in free play, reading, eating, napping, and enjoying a special visit from grandma. In addition the following areas were inspected during the visit: posted documents, medication, records, topical products, menu, and emergency plans. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report.
