Standard #: 22VAC40-185-350-F
Complaint related: Yes
Description: Based on the inspector's observations, children were observed being moved to classrooms other than their designated classrooms in order to maintain ratios. Children may not be moved casually or repeatedly as to disrupt the child's day. Evidence: The inspector observed an infant moved to another infant classroom, two children were moved from the Pandas' I classroom with the young two year old children up to the Pandas' II classroom with the older two and three year old children, and two children were moved from the Little Lions II classroom with children ages sixteen months through two years of age up to the Pandas I classroom. All of the children were moved in order to maintain ratios until the next scheduled staff members arrived. Some of these children were moved back in to their classrooms when staff arrived.

Plan of Correction: The Program Director will re-evaluate the staff schedules in order to maintain required ratios through out the day. The center is currently in the process of hiring staff for morning positions. The best effort will always be made to reassign staff rather than children.
