Technical Assistance:
October 27 Blue Ridge Poison control will be giving a training at the DSS Regional Office.

Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced mandated inspection from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Two staff records were reviewed at the main office on 8/17/2015. There were 14 children in care with 3 staff supervising at all times. Three children's records were reviewed. Children were observed having a bathroom break, washing hands, playing with toys, and lining up and getting on the bus to go to the library. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-C
Description: Based on observation, ground supports were not covered. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed two areas of exposed concrete under the climber.

Plan of Correction: The center director said that she would be working with the maintenance person to make sure these are covered. Staff monitors and rakes the mulch on a regular basis.
