Technical Assistance:
1. Emergency supplies should be readily available to staff, and not stored in a manner that requires staff to look in multiple places to locate.

Comments:
Conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection. Observed 15 children + 2 direct-care staff. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. 1 of the 2 site staff are new to this location this school year. Children were taking naps during the inspection. The facility was found to clean, safeguarded appropriately, and sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. According to the posted menu, the snack today will be oatmeal cookies + yogurt. No medications reported to be on-site. Required documents were not posted. Record keeping was in good order. Inspection conducted 12:55-1:40pm. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2
Description: Based on observations made and interviews conducted, it was determined that the most recently issued Violation Notice was not posted. Evidence: The Violation Notice from a recent complaint investigation, dated 11/16/15, was not posted in the facility. Staff were not aware of the recent investigation and reported that they did not have the report.

Plan of Correction: The violation notice was posted by the end of the day the licensing visit occurred on.
