Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, January 6, 2016. The on-site visit was from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. On this date, there were nine (9) children in the care of two (2) staff members in one classroom. There were a total of ten (10) children enrolled in the program. There were four (4) children's records and two staff records reviewed and updated. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for one child. Areas observed were educational small group activities, circle time, story, hand washing/bathroom procedures, transition, snack, movement and departure. Snack was observed to meet USDA guidelines and consisted of apple juice and cheese crackers. All interactions between staff and the children were appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine. The children have been working on seasonal activities for the winter months and artwork is displayed throughout the classrooms. This preschool is well equipped with variety of age/stage materials for the children in care. Please contact me if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 430-9256.
