Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection January 8, 2016 from approximately 11:00am to 2:50pm. The following ratios were observed with a total of 58 children present during the inspection:
Infants - 10 children with 3 staff
Toddlers - 9 children with 2 staff
Discovery Preschool (Twos) - 14 children with 2 staff
Threes (Preschool) ? 12 children with 2 staff
Fours & Fives (Pre-K) - 13 children with 2 staff
School Age children were not present during the inspection.

During the inspection, the Infants were observed having their diapers changed, playing on the floor with toys, eating and sleeping in their cribs. The Toddlers were observed eating lunch and transitioning into naptime. The Discovery Preschool classroom was observed having the book ?Snoozes? read to them by their teachers, eating lunch, taking bathroom breaks and transitioning into naptime. The Threes classroom was observed eating lunch, washing hands, taking bathroom breaks and transitioning into naptime. The Pre-K classroom was observed eating lunch, looking at books, and taking bathroom breaks. All children were observed resting on their cots with the required linens. Staff was observed interacting with the children and providing assistance when needed. Lunch consisted of orange chicken, peas and corn, peaches, bread and milk. All areas of the center including classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and kitchen were inspected. The center was equipped with toys and supplies and items were available to the children. Playground and buses were not checked due to inclement weather.

The following information was reviewed: emergency supplies, emergency preparedness plan, injury prevention plan, injury reports, fire and shelter-in-place drills, daily attendance, daily sheets, parent agreements, and staff training information. Medication is administered and medication and medication authorization forms were reviewed.
