Technical Assistance:
We talked about your method of documenting the shelter-in-place drills to distinguish the practices from the times for evacuation. Your questions regarding M.A.T. certification renewal were provided.

Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during today's unannounced monitoring inspection conducted from 9:08 AM to 12:10 PM. Today, there were thirteen children, ages three to four, with two teachers. A volunteer parent was assisting with classroom tasks. I viewed program activities, staffing, supervision, interactions with children, posted information, equipment, daily routines, four records for children, medication, two staff records, staff training, emergency supplies and drill records, snack, and indoor areas. I was not able to inspect the playground due to the snow that was present. A section of the playground by the south gate remains off-limits and had a construction fence barrier. There were not any documented injury reports for this school year. Also, we discussed the documentation needed from the church for the asbestos abatement, the most recent asbestos inspection findings and alterations to asbestos management plans. The teachers continue to plan for enriching developmentally appropriate learning experiences and provide a variety of materials, equipment and activities related to weekly and monthly themes. There were no areas of noncompliance with standards observed at this time. Let me know if you have questions. 540/430-9259
