A complaint investigation was initiated on March 17, 2016 in response to a complaint received on March 14, 2016 regarding child to staff ratios and food service. Unannounced site inspections were conducted on March 17, 2016 and April 13, 2016. Investigation included observation, staff interviews and review of documentation. A preponderance of evidence was not found to support the allegation of insufficient staff to meet required child to staff ratios. Evidence did not support the allegation that foods and portions being served to the children did not meet the most recent, age-appropriate nutritional requirements of a recognized authority such as the Child and Adult Care Food Program of the United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA). The allegation that second portions of foods being served to the children were not made available was determined to be not valid. An exit meeting was conducted to review the Acknowledgement Form with the program director prior to the conclusion of the inspection on April 13, 2016. Please contact the inspector if there are any questions.
