Today we discussed risk ratings.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed today from 9:30am - 10:30am. There were 15 children in care, ages 3 - 5 years old. There were two teaching staff and one case manager present during the inspection. A walking tour of the inside and outside facility was completed. Two children's records and all staff emergency contact information were reviewed. A review of staff records was competed on 2/26/16 at the agency central location. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities including circle time, center play, restroom routines and teeth brushing. Recent fire inspection, health inspection, emergency evacuation drills including shelter-in-place, and insurance were reviewed. Center management reports that there is not any medication being administered at this time. This location does not provide transportation to the children in care. One violation was observed today regarding the posting the most recent inspection results and may be viewed on the violation notice.
Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2 Description: Based on observation the center failed to ensure that the results of the most recent inspection are posted in the center. Evidence: 1 - The inspection results posted in the center are dated 9/24/16. However the most inspection was conducted on 2/26/16. 2 - Staff 1 confirmed that the inspection posted is dated 9/24/16. Plan of Correction: Center management will consult with agency upper management to make sure record review information is provided to the location for posting.
