Consultation was given on the new VA DSS website- childcareva.com as well as the background check changes coming in July 2017.
An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted. All rooms were resting during the inspection and ratio were maintained as required. Emergency preparation for evacuation drills, injury reports for parents and medication postings were reviewed. No new staff are present since the previous visit. Rooms reflect the Reggio curriculum and whole arts learning with life cycles and art combined in the older two classrooms. Physical space, diapering procedures and supplies, nutrition and nap procedures were all observed. Lunch served today was spaghetti with meat sauce, spinach salad, fruit and milk.
