Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated today at 1:50pm. The physical plant, 4 staff files, 4 children's files, annual fire and health inspection, staff training, child nutrition, children's activities, medications, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected today. There were 53 children under the supervision of 8 staff. During the inspection, children were observed completing activities in their workbooks (counting numbers and spelling words), coloring, taking naps and practicing what the sign language they recently learned at the center. For lunch, there are two meals offered to the children, with one being a vegetarian option. Today, the children could have chicken tenders or refried beans with cheese. In addition to this choice, they were given rice, carrots, apple slices and milk. The interactions between the children and staff were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. There are currently 7 staff certified in MAT (Medication Administration Training) and 3 staff certified in EMAT (Emergency Medication Administration Training).
