Technical Assistance:
Discussed the need for resilient surfacing under the slide on the lot next to the center. The lot has been leveled off to take care of the run off issues. The lot is not currently used for children according to the director. Discussed the need for resilient surfacing under the slide if the slide will remain and teh space will be used by children. Discussed birth certificates, you can record the information on the form , in the child's file and you do not have to keep a copy of the birth certificate.

Comments:
14 children present today with 6 classroom staff. The children are napping and some are playing. The centers school age room is finished and ready for children. The center has an abundance of supplies for the children to explore. Interaction between staff and children were observed during the visit. The center has added a covered walkway in the back of the center and also added new playground equipment. Please call me at 703-203-8659 if you ahve any questions regarding this visit. This visit was started at 1:45 and ended at 3:00.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A
Description: The center failed to get some information needed for staff records. Evidence: Based on the review of 3 staff records, two staff ( A and B) have the references, but the person calling for the references failed to sign for and note date and time the references were called as well as the names of the persons called.

Plan of Correction: We will make sure we write that on the form.
