Discussed medication authorization
47 children present with 3 staff during this monitoring visit. The children are doing homework, having snack, and playing outside. Staff and children are interacting, playing with balls on the field, throwing footballs and playing on the play equipment. The center has material easily accessible to the children. Today's snack was cereal and milk. Please call me at 703-203-8659 if you have any questions regarding this visit. This visit was started at 3:40 and ended at 4:30.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-A Description: The center failed to have the correct authorization for medications. Evidence: Based on the review of two medication the center has authorization for emergency medications that allows Loudoun county school personnel to administer the medication but not for casa employees to do so. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parents for the correct authorization.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-F Description: The center has an emergency medication that does not have the original box. Evidence : Based on the review of 2 epi-pens one is not in the box with the prescription label. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent for the box.
