Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation of play area equipment, the center did not ensure all areas and equipment were maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: 1. The wooden border on the school age playground was observed with cracked or otherwise deteriorating wood with a protruding nail. 2. The wooden picnic table was observed with multiple cracked pieces creating a splintered surface. Plan of Correction: The children will be restricted from play area until safety concerns are addressed. I will also submit maintenance request today for repairs to play area.
