Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated today at 1:00pm. The physical plant, 5 staff files, 4 children's files, annual fire inspection, staff training, child nutrition, children's activities, medications, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected today. There were 22 children under the supervision of 4 staff. During the inspection, children were observed completing activities at their work stations (counting numbers and spelling words), coloring, and resting during naptime. For lunch, the children were served chicken fajitas (vegeterian-bean) over rice, with cheese, salad, fruit and milk. The interactions between the children and staff were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. There are currently 2 staff certified in MAT (medication administration training). Should you have any questions, please contact me at mary.wizbicki@dss.virginia.gov.
