Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 9:00 am-11:30. At the time of entrance, 58 children were in care with 13 staff members present. Children were observed arriving to the program, engaged in circle time, songs, Valentines Day activities. A selection of staff and children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Description: Based on record review, the center has not updated the annual fire inspection report. Evidence: The last fire inspection is dated 1/13/16, the fire permit expired 8/31/2016.

Plan of Correction: The director will contact the fire Marshall to schedule an annual fire inspection. and renew the fire permit.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-C
Description: Based on medication review, the center has not followed the center procedures for keeping medications current. Evidence: There were two medication that had expired, one expired 12/2016 and the other 10/2016.

Plan of Correction: The director called both parents to inform them that their child's medication has expired. Parents will provide new medications.
