Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on May 11, 2017 from 11:20 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. On this date, there were sixty-eight (68) children in the care of fourteen (14) staff members in seven classrooms. There are eighty-two (82) children enrolled in this program. There were five (5) children's record and nine (9) staff records were reviewed and updated. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for two children. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation notice. Areas observed were free play, hand washing/bathroom/diapering procedures, story time, educational center activities, lunch and nap. All interactions between staff and the children were appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine. Children have been completing seasonal activities and artwork is displayed throughout the center. There are a wide variety of age/stage materials for the children in care. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-290-3
Description: One electrical outlet, under the stage, did not have a protective covering. Evidence: Based on record review and conversation with the staff it was confirmed the outlet did not have a protective covering.

Plan of Correction: Staff will check all outlets in areas that are shared by other programs to ensure they have a protective covering.
