An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from approximately 11:00am until 4:30pm. The following classroom ratios were observed: Infants: Ten children with three staff Room 1 - Toddlers - Six children with two staff Room 2 - Two's - Eight children with two staff Room 3 - Two's - Eight children with one staff Room 4 - Two's - Eight children with one staff Room 6 - Three's- Nine children with one staff Room 7 - Three's- Eight children with one staff Room 8 - Pre-K - Four children with one staff Kindergarten - 2nd- Seventeen children with one staff 2nd- 5th - Eighteen children with one staff Observations were made by the licensing inspector during outdoor play, during classroom activities, lunch time and nap time. Children in the school age building have their summer time art posted which includes "Sparkle Name Art", Canvas Paintings, and a mural of James River. They were preparing to play Family Feud, and GaGa Drill. Infants were being held, having bottles and floor play. Preschool children were playing dress-up, building with blocks and legos, and signing along to "ABC Mouse". The last practice evacuation drill was conducted 8/23/17. Lunch: Beef tacos with cheese, corn, peaches and milk Children's medications and food allergies were checked for compliance. Ten children's records and ten staff records were inspected.
