Comments:
Today an unannounced monitoring visit was conducted with the Director. This visit took place in the morning from 9:00-11:15, two classrooms were observed with a total of 12 children with 3 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed having morning free play, learning about the letter "m", snack, counting and painting. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, fire drill log, menu, and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D
Description: Based on review of the evacuation drills, the center did not have documentation of two shelter-in place drills per year. Evidence: No documentation of a shelter in place drill for year.

Plan of Correction: Director stated that she will make sure a shelter in place drill is conducted twice a year.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-G
Description: Based on observation of the food brought from home, lunch containers were found not labeled with the children's name. Evidence: 6 lunch containers were found without the names.

Plan of Correction: Director labeled the containers during this inspection.
