A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on October 20th 2017 between 9:00am and 11:30am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 45 children in the direct care of 10 staff members. Children were observed eating breakfast, washing hands, playing on the playground, and creating art projects. Staff were observed to be consistently engaged with children. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Please send questions regarding this new requirement to firstname.lastname@example.org
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-A Description: Based on observation and interview the center does not have a written emergency preparedness plan that addresses staff responsibility and facility readiness for all required scenarios. Evidence: The center does not currently have a plan for a lock down scenario including reunification. Plan of Correction: In 2 weeks we will have a plan in place for lock down drills and any other emergency preparedness drills. We will be reaching out to the crime prevention office of Fairfax County to further access our procedures and we will update accordingly.
