A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 10/30/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 49 children, aged 2.5 years-5 years present with 7 staff, office staff, and kitchen staff. Children and staff records were reviewed. Other documents were also reviewed for compliance. Children were observed participating in group time, art time, activities, story time, lunch time, and rest time. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice. This inspection began at 9 am and concluded at 1:30 pm.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E Description: Based on review of staff files the vendor failed to maintain compliance with this standard as required for new staff. Evidence: Staff record #1, hire date 8/15/17, had not yet completed the CPR and FA certification as required and the allowed 30 days has past. Plan of Correction: Staff #1 is signed up for the November 2017 CPR and FA training. Future new staff will become certified in CPR/FA within the required 30 days of employment for future compliance.
