Discussed developing injury prevention procedures and that it should be updated annually based on documentation of injuries and a review of the activities and services.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 2:10pm-4:00pm. At the time of entrance, 57children were in care with 4 staff members present. Children were engaged in group activities including children performing songs they had learned in school and a child shared a project he had created. The children broke into groups. One group of children were performing a dance, another group were involved in an art activity and another group went outside to play. A selection of children records, medications, emergency supplies and procedures, check in procedures and other documents were reviewed. The program is clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Please contact me if you have any questions at Stacy.Doyle@dss.virginia.gov 571-835-0386.
