Comments:
An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted with the director beginning at 12:30 PM and ending at 3:50 PM. There were thirty-six school aged children in care of three staff during the inspection. The infants were observed playing with manipulatives and being held by staff members. Three infants were observed sleeping in cribs. Diapering and hand washing procedures were observed. The older children were served lunch during the inspection which consisted of grilled cheese sandwiches, vegetable soup, and milk. The children were also observed asleep or resting quietly on their cots during nap-time. Six children?s records and five staff records were reviewed and in compliance. There were no medications on site during the inspection. The outside recreational areas were not inspected due to inclement weather. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather-band radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent lock-down drill was documented as January 26, 2017. The most recent emergency escape drill was documented as October 20, 2017. The most recent fire inspection was documented as October 2, 2017.
