Discussion held that parents must be allowed to pick up children in care unless there is documentation from a court which would prohibit a parent from picking up their child.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 4:00pm until 5:00pm. There were 65 children present directly supervised by 4 staff. The physical plant, 5 children?s records, 2 medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing outside, and eating snack. Measurements of space utilized during the winter program were taken to increase the program's capacity. A subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted at the same time as this licensing inspection. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Kara Wright at email@example.com or 703-537-6241.
