Background check requirements were reviewed at the main office. The new application was reviewed with the program director. MAT training info. was sent to the director.
The inspector conducted an unannounced mandated inspection from 3:45 p.m until 5:45 p.m. There were 27 children in care with three staff and an intern supervising at all times. Children were observed playing outside, being picked up by their parents, doing homework, and playing in the gym. One parent was interviewed. Five children's records were reviewed, and one new staff record was reviewed at the main office from 1:30 p.m.-2:15 p.m. Violations had been corrected from the last inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-G Description: Based on interview and record review, center staff did not have the required MAT training to administer medication. Evidence: 1. The inspector interviewed staff and child #1 had medications at the center but no staff has MAT training. Plan of Correction: The center is located in a school. The school nurse is typically available until 4:00. The director will seek MAT or Emat training for emergency medications.
