Comments:
Licensing inspector arrived at 3:20 pm and departed at 5:00 pm to conduct a licensing inspection and a Subsidy Health and Safety inspection. Upon arrival there were thirty - six children in care with 2 staff . Children were observed participating in various table activities and eating snack. The sample size consisted of 5 children records .Playground was inspected. Request for additional spaces to be used were measured . The gym and library area was inspected.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-A
Description: Based on record review, the licensee did not ensure a annual fire inspection was completed. Evidence: The most recent fire inspection was November 23, 2016.

Plan of Correction: Program Director will ask the school office for update inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-E
Description: Based on observation the licensee did not ensure there was a working battery operated radio . Evidence: The radio was not working. New batteries will need to be purchase for the radio.

Plan of Correction: The program director will purchase new batteries and keep them in the first aid kit.
