The Licensing Inspector for Prayer of Faith Temple (Zion City) conducted an unannounced RECDC Monitor Inspection on Friday, December 20, 2019. Licensing Inspector arrived & started inspection at 10:35 AM and concluded at 2:05 PM. There were eleven (11) children ages 14 months-4 years old under the direct care and four (4) staff members. Licensing Inspector reviewed children records and seven (7) staff records. Staff records that were found out of compliance during the previous inspection were reviewed. Licensing Inspector conducted an exit interview along with reviewing the Risk Assessment and the areas of non-compliance with the Center Director on December 20, 2019. Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-A Description: Based on record review & discussion with the Center Director, the Center failed to ensure any person who has been convicted of any barrier crime as defined in ? 19.2-392.02 is not hired for compensation, allowed continued employment, or permit to serve as a volunteer.
EVIDENCE:
Licensing Inspector reviewed seven (7) staff records. The results of the Fingerprint Background Check, determine Staff #4 was "NOT ELIGIBLE" to hire for compensated employment, continue to employ, or permit to serve as a volunteer. Staff #4 was observed caring for the children during today's inspection.Plan of Correction: Staff identified as ineligible based on the fingerprint background check will be terminated immediately.
