A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 4/9/2024.There were 8 children present with 2 staff supervising. The children were observed during snack time, morning opening time and engaged in various centers in the class room. A total of 5 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:20 am and concluded at 10:20 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: Based on record review and staff interview the center did not ensure to obtain a copy of the results of a criminal history search or equivalent registry from any state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence: The director confirmed that staff #2's (start date 3/6/2024) record did not contain documentation of an out of state criminal record checks for California and Nevada.Plan of Correction: HR manager will ensure that all background checks in-state and out of state will be completed before all staff begin work.
