Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on record review and staff interview, the center did not ensure that two or more references as to character and reputation as well as competency were checked before beginning employment for all staff.
Evidence: Staff #1 (Date of Hire: 6/11/2021) did not have references checked before employment. The references on file were dated 6/21/21 and 7/30/21.Plan of Correction: Moving forward reference checks will be completed prior to offer letter being sent.
