Technical assistance was offered related to background checks, trainings, electrical outlets and emergency drills.
- Comments:

An annual subsidy inspection was conducted on 9/26/23 from 10:45 am to 11:45am. There was 1 daycare child (3 points) present with the vendor. The inspector reviewed 1 child's record, 1 vendor record and 2 adult household member's records to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations. Attendance and emergency drill records were also reviewed. The child was observed playing with toys. Information gathered during the inspection determined areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor. Standard #: 8VAC20-790-170-C Description: Based on records review and staff interview, the vendor did not ensure that criminal record check (CRC) for adult household members were obtained every 5 years.
Evidence:
1. Household Member # 1's most recent fingerprint based CRC was dated 5/1/2018.
2. An updated CRC has not been obtained to this date.Plan of Correction: Household member went for fingerprinting on 9/14/23. We are waiting for results.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-430-A-3 Description: Based on records review and staff interview, lockdown procedures were not practiced annually.
Evidence: The drill log showed that the most recent lockdown drill was completed in June 2022. The vendor stated a lockdown drill was not practiced after that date.Plan of Correction: Lockdown drills will be completed annually.
