This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A virtual inspection was initiated on October 1, 2020 and a desk review of information submitted was completed on October 1, 2020. The administrator was contacted by telephone to initiate the remote inspection. There were no children present and one administrative staff present. The inspector emailed the head of school a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector viewed the PreK classrooms and other activity areas, bathrooms and the outdoor grounds during a video call. All supporting documents for the the school were submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. There was no request to change the licensed capacity which will remain at forty for the licensed program.
Issuance of a modified license for the change in location will be recommended.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
