-This annual subsidy inspection was conducted by the inspector using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency declared by the Governor of Virginia in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Preliminary data was obtained from the vendor on October 19, 2020.
-An annual subsidy inspection was initiated on October 19, 2020, at which time the vendor was contacted by video call to complete the inspection with her and a household member.
The vendor reported there were no children enrolled or in care and there are children living in the home under the age of 12 present with the vendor. The inspector reviewed adult/household member records submitted by the local agency to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs but the Vendor has not had enrolled children since early 2020.
Information gathered during the inspection determined areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-390-B-2 Description: Based on observation and interview, the vendor does not have a working, battery -operated radio.
Evidence:
1. Radio was plugged in and shown as working so Inspector requested to see it work unplugged. The radio did not operate unplugged and Vendor attempted to locate batteries. Vendor was unable to locate batteries.Plan of Correction: I will purchase batteries.
