Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-J
Description: Based on observation at the center and interview with staff, the center did not ensure to maintain medication in a locked place. Evidence: The medication cabinet in the Pre-K classroom was observed unlocked which contained medications. Interview with staff confirmed this cabinet was unlocked and staff immediately locked cabinet during inspection.

Plan of Correction: The cabinet was above the sink and out of childrens reach. There was a lock on the cabinet and was not being used by the staff in the classroom. The center director will ensure all staff are using the locking device for medication cabinets at all times.
