Standard #: 8VAC20-800-430-B Description: Based on observation it was determined that pressure mounted gates were utilized as protective barriers at stair openings. Evidence: A pressure mounted gate was observed at the bottom of the basement stairs instead of a gate hardware mounted to the wall as required. Plan of Correction: A protective gate will be hardware mounted to the wall below the stairs.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-680-A Description: Based on observation caregivers did not always wash their hands with soap and warm running water after diapering children. Evidence: The LI (licensing inspector) observed that the provider did not wash their hands after diapering a child. The provider used hand sanitizer instead. Plan of Correction: The provider will wash their hands after every diaper change.
