Technical Assistance:
A reminder that the Trampoline remains off limits to daycare children.

Comments:
An unannounced on-site renewal inspection was conducted on 4/30/24. The inspection began at 8:35 am and ended at 9:35 am. There were two infants present and two residential children for a total of 12 points. The Inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. Two children's files were reviewed on-site. The inspection included document review, a tour of the facility, interviews and observation. There were no medication on-site. The older infant was fed pancakes, banana and milk for breakfast. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.011-F
Description: The license and the most recent findings shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the premises.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-920
Description: When meals are provided by the family day home, the menu for the current one-week period shall be dated, given to parents or posted/placed in an area accessible to parents.

There was no menu written, dated, given to parents or posted in the home.

Plan of Correction: I will write and post the menu.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-50-A
Description: There shall be a written record of children in attendance each day.
There was no attendance for 4/30/24. There were two children present.

Plan of Correction: I will make sure to keep up to date attendance.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-60-B
Description: A child's record shall contain certaininformation at the time of enrollment.
1. There was no insurance policy # on file for child #1at the time of enrollment.
2. There was no authorization given to the provider to seek emergency medical care for child #1.

Description: Before a child may attend the family day home, the child must be adequately immunized.
There was no immunization record on file for child #1 who enrolled the previous day.

The caregiver diapered two infants and failed to wash their hands with soap and water.

Description: The diapering surface shall be not used for children's activities.
The diapering area was used for a storage area for the children's belongings.

Plan of Correction: I wont store any items on the diapering surface.
