Technical Assistance:
Today we discussed safe water temperatures for handwashing sinks - warm water measuring no more than 120 degrees Fahrenheit where children have access to sinks.

Discussion regarding the diapering area between the 2 two-year-old classrooms included ensuring that while staff is changing diapers, the children in the classroom remain under sight and sound supervision at all times.

Some recommendations regarding the Emergency Preparedness Plan were shared to make the plan quickly and easily understood by staff under emergency situations where specific and efficient action is required. A template was provided on which the information in the lengthier plan may be condensed and posted or placed accessibly in classrooms for staff's' reference.

Please ensure that resilient surfacing under and around the outdoor, spring mounted play piece is kept in place. The measurements of the fall zone are exactly as required and any movement of the mulch may lessen the size of this fall zone.

Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted on 2/9/2024 from 10:40 a.m. until 12:30 pm. The licensee will operate a program serving children ages 12 months to 12 years of age. The inspector reviewed General Procedures regarding issuance of a six month conditional license and recommendations at the conclusion of the conditional license. Areas of standards that could not be determined at this time will be determined during the first unannounced inspection after the conditional license has been issued. There were no violations noted during today's inspection. All future inspections will be unannounced. The first unannounced inspection will be conducted within 60 days from the date the license is issued.
